I wanted to add a caviat to my previous post: excessive red plastic
can be done tastefully. The examples are few and far between. The new Dodge Charger is the best example, but click through to see a couple others.

| Saab 9000 |
The Saab 9000 is another example. The red plastic extends quite nicely with the taillights to create an integrated, decidedly Swedish look. As a former owner of a 9000, I love this design through and through.

Cadillac knows how to make its red plastic functional. The plastic across the trunk actually lights up, a feature other automakers can learn from.
